Accessibility

This site is produced by the Health and Disability Services Complaints Office (HaDSCO). It aims to provide comprehensive information about the Office and its services. The site has been designed to be as accessible to as many users as possible.

Using the site

The site has been built so it can be used easily. Every page has the main menu on the left hand side and a ‘breadcrumb trail’ appears at the top of the page. This breadcrumb shows the pages currently and previously viewed.

There is also a search function at the top of each page so content can be found easily. Alternatively, the site map lists all pages within their relevant sections.

Please note, documents on the site are available in other formats on request. Please contact HaDSCO to make a request.

Text resizing

The site has been designed to allow text resizing. In the top right-hand corner of each page, there are text resizing buttons: the 'Text -' makes text on the page smaller; the 'Text +' makes text on the page larger; and the 'Reset' returns the text to the default setting. The function uses JavaScript ensure Java is enabled on browser security settings to use this function.

Software requirements

Throughout this site, there are documents and files that require specific software to allow the user to view files. Most computers will already have the required software installed. If however, additional software needs to be installed, the following list of free software may be helpful.

For Microsoft Office Documents: go to the microsoft download centre (external site) to download: Microsoft PowerPoint Viewer, Microsoft Excel Viewer, Microsoft Word Viewer; or go to Open Office (external site) to download OpenOffice for Linux, Mac OS X and Windows.
