HaDSCO joins Ahpra's Statement of Intent
27/03/2024

HaDSCO is pleased to be a signatory of Ahpra's Interprofessional Collaborative Practice Statement of Intent.

Becoming a signatory to the statement expresses our joint commitment to improve collaboration within the health sector, including health professionals and patients, families, carers and communities. Signed by 53 national bodies, it also works to ensure all Australians have access to culturally and linguistically inclusive, accessible, effective and safe health care.

The statement also demonstrates the shared goals and values that are embedded into HaDSCO's service delivery.

Sarah Cowie, HaDSCO's Director, believes the statement is important for supporting health outcomes that benefit the Western Australian community.

"We have worked closely with Ahpra throughout the years, and are pleased to join them on this journey. It's a terrific initiative that aligns with HaDSCO's objective of working collaboratively with the community and service providers to improve health, disability and mental health services.", she said.

The statement is endorsed by Ahpra's independently chaired Accreditation Committee.
