  • HaDSCO and Ahpra team up to connect with Armadale community
    HaDSCO and Ahpra team up to connect with Armadale community 15 April 2024 We teamed up with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Ahpra) for the City of Armadale’s Let’s Connect Expo. The event focused on community connection and empowerment, and allowed residents in the Armadale and surrounds to explore and network with community groups and service providers. The expo showcased 81 stallholders from a range of service areas, including employment; youth, children and family; disability; seniors; multicultural; Aboriginal; health and wellbeing; emergency relief and crisis support; and volunteering. Community presentations were also held throughout the day.   • HaDSCO joins Ahpra's Statement of Intent
    HaDSCO joins Ahpra's Statement of Intent 27 March 2024 HaDSCO is pleased to be a signatory of Ahpra's Interprofessional Collaborative Practice Statement of Intent. Becoming a signatory to the statement expresses our joint commitment to improve collaboration within the health sector, including health professionals and patients, families, carers and communities. Signed by 53 national bodies, it also works to ensure all Australians have access to culturally and linguistically inclusive, accessible, effective and safe health care. The statement also demonstrates the shared goals and values that are embedded into HaDSCO's service delivery. Sarah Cowie, HaDSCO's Director, believes the statement is important for supporting health outcomes that benefit the Western Australian community.   • Celebrating International Women's Day with the EOC
    Celebrating International Women’s Day with the EOC 11 March 2024 In celebration of International Women’s Day this year, we partnered with the Equal Opportunity Commission (EOC) for the City of Perth’s Stall in the Mall. Held in the heart of the CBD, the event allowed us to connect and inform women about their rights under the Equal Opportunity Act 1984 and the Health and Disability Services (Complaints) Act 1995. This includes their right to fair treatment, and to safe and ethical health care. Additionally, in recognition of this year’s theme “Count Her In: Invest in Women. Accelerate Progress.”, HaDSCO’s Director, Ms Sarah Cowie, joined the EOC for their annual speed mentoring event in Albert Facey House.
